Every club on the map above is private, and no two feel the same. Here is how I describe each one to buyers before we tour. Tap a club name for its homes, subdivisions and recent sales, or use the Country Club Matcher to rank them against what matters to you.
Delray BeachAbout 717 homes around 27 holes that are the best-kept course in Boca Raton or Delray Beach, with the most polished clubhouse in Delray and 11 tennis courts. Membership is mandatory, and half the member fee is refundable when you sell.
West Boca RatonCustom estates on 700 acres, two golf courses by Arnold Palmer and Tom Fazio, a 125,000 square foot clubhouse and no outside members. About 740 homes, and every owner belongs to the club.
East Boca RatonThe most prestigious address in the area, on the Intracoastal, and the only club here with its own yacht basin. About 730 waterfront and golf estates. Membership is optional and by nomination; people join for the water and the neighborhood more than the Nicklaus course.

Delray BeachAbout 1,082 homes and 36 holes: the Victory course was rebuilt in 2024 and the Legends course reopens in November 2026. There are 19 Har-Tru courts and eight pickleball courts, and it has the lowest entry cost of any mandatory club on this page.
Delray Beach473 Toll Brothers homes around an Arnold Palmer Signature course, with the Central lifestyle center that opened in 2019. A Sports membership is available for people who play tennis and pickleball rather than golf.
Central Boca RatonTwo courses, and the Old Course is one of the best-kept anywhere here. Broken Sound has 23 tennis courts and 27 subdivisions inside the gates, from condominiums to estate homes, in a central location near I-95.
North Boca Raton239 homes off Clint Moore Road around one course. A quiet, golf-first club.
Delray BeachThe smallest club on this page: 27 holes for just 326 homes, plus eight tennis courts.
West Boca RatonAbout 398 homes, one course and six tennis courts. 80% of the golf equity bond is refundable when you sell.
Mandatory or optional membership
At most clubs here, every homeowner must join, so everyone around you plays and dines at the same club. Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club and Seagate are the exceptions: you can buy a home without joining, and The Boca Raton Club takes members who live anywhere in East Boca.
How much golf you will really play
Serious golfers usually narrow it to Addison Reserve, St Andrews, Broken Sound and Boca West for course quality and tee time access. If golf is a few rounds a month, a single-course club like Boca Grove, Woodfield or Stonebridge often fits better.
Tennis, pickleball and family life
Boca West, Woodfield, The Polo Club and Gleneagles have the biggest racquet programs. Woodfield is the most active for families with children at home, while smaller clubs like Delaire and Bocaire are quieter.
East or west
Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club puts you on the water near downtown Boca Raton and the beach. The western clubs trade that for bigger clubhouses, more courses and newer homes, a short drive from Town Center and Florida's Turnpike.
